APC supporters welcome Gov. Inuwa Yahaya to Nafada

Tinubu will get northern votes like Abiola in 1993 – Gombe Campaign DG

Director-General of the Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State re-election, Mr Zubair Umar, said that the northern electorate would vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu as it did for Moshood Abiola in 1993.

Umar said this on Wednesday when Yahaya paid homage to Alhaji Muhammadu Hamza, the Emir of Nafada, in Nafada Local Government Area of the state.

He said that over the years the north had shown commitment to the unity of the country by voting candidates of southern extraction to win elections through the ballot.

According to him, the electorate in the north believes in justice and equity just as APC, hence supporting a shift of the presidency to the south will eventually lead to the democratic emergence of Tinubu.

Umar said he was confident that the way the north unanimously voted for Abiola in the 1993 and Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999, would be replicated for Tinubu in the 2023 general election.

According to him, the electorate in the north will vote for Tinubu in the spirit of justice and equity.

“Tinubu has protected all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnicity by carrying everyone along when he was governor of Lagos State.

“He is not a tribalistic or ethno-religious kind of person but a leader that prioritises competence and capacity.

“This is the reason he appointed different persons from any part of the country to do the job under his leadership as the then governor of Lagos State,” he said.

Umar, who is also the Gombe State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, said he was optimistic that Tinubu would protect the interests of all Nigerians, carry everyone along and harness the best hands to do the job.

He urged the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming election.

On his part, Hamza advised politicians to embrace peace and admonished the youths to eschew violence

Gov. Yahaya on campaign trail, says Tinubu will not disappoint Nigerians

,

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, will not disappoint Nigerians, if elected as president, Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State said.

Yahaya said Tinubu will not disappoint because he has capacity to deliver.

Yahaya stated this when he paid a visit to the palace of Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, the Lamido Gona, in Amada community of Akko Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

He said that President Muhammadu Buhari performed credibly well in terms of delivering good governance to the people of Nigeria.

“We need consolidation, that’s why we are going to vote for Tinubu.Tinubu has promised to continue with the good works of Buhari by ensuring good governance to the good people.

“I assure you he will not disappoint,” he said.

Yahaya said his visit was to thank the community for its support to his administration as well as to seek for its prayers before proceeding to various wards for campaign.

He urged the people of the emirate to vote for APC candidates in the 2023 general election.

At Garko ward in Akko LGA, the governor appealed to supporters to go and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote APC candidates from top to bottom.

He said that the APC remained the only party that was concerned about the wellbeing of the people and urged the electorate to vote for the APC to ensure that their interests were well protected in 2023.

He expressed confidence that with the introduction of Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS) only politicians with supporters could win election adding that there was no more room for electoral fraud.

“We are confident with the introduction of BVAS that Tinubu and all APC candidates will win in 2023 because we have performed well and we have supporters,” he said.

The State Director-General, APC Campaign Council, Mr Zubair Umar appealed to supporters to collect their PVCs ahead of the 2023 general election to exercise their franchise.

Umar also called on youths to engage in peaceful politics and eschew violence.

He said that Yahaya needed no campaign for re-elected because his administration had performed beyond expectations in all sectors.

Thousands of defectors from opposition parties were received by Yahaya in the three wards visited in Akko LGA.
