Abiodun wins second term in Ogun

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has been reelected for a second term, beating Ladi Adebutu of PDP and Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress.

Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner by Prof Kayode Adebowale, the state returning officer.

“That Abiodun Adedapo Oluseun of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and is returned election,” Adebowale stated.

Abiodun polled 276,298 votes.

His closest rival, Adebutu won 262,383 votes, while Otegbeye got 94,754 votes.

Otegbeye was sponsored by former governor Ibikunle Amosun.
