Aisha Binani makes history as Nigeria’s first elected female governor [Full Result]

Senator Aisha Binani of Adamawa state has made history as the first elected female governor in Nigeria.

With results of governorship election collated, Binani of the APC beat incumbent Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri by about 3,000 votes.

She polled 409,909 votes, while Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party got 406,617 votes.
